Founders' Day in Marana!

Saturday, March 7th was the 37th Annual Founders' Day in Marana, AZ! This town is a crucial part of MHC Healthcare's history. We began in 1957 by providing medical care to migratory farm workers and other locals in Marana. Since then we have grown to a network of 14 Health Centers, which now employs almost 400 staff members and serves over 40,000 patients! A special thank you to the Marana Heritage Conservancy for organizing this AMAZING parade, we were so glad to be apart of it!

Our commitment and dedication to removing barriers towards healthcare services has allowed us to achieve and grow. We want to be your healthcare provider for years to come!

Tom Dunn Elected President of MHC Healthcare Board of Directors

MHC Healthcare congratulates Tom Dunn as the newly elected President for the MHC Healthcare Board of Directors.

The new Executive Committee members are: Tom Dunn, President, Sulee Edwards, Vice President, Tim Brunenkant, Secretary, and Steve Sera, Treasurer. Mr. Dunn has served on the all-volunteer board since 2009.

Mr. Dunn shares, “MHC Healthcare has become a national example of how to better serve the community’s healthcare needs. Our healthcare providers not only care about your health, they also care about you. The leadership team for MHC has created a great place to take care of your healthcare needs and a great place to work. Our team is second to none with outstanding standards and achievements. I’m proud to say I’m a patient too and trust my own healthcare needs to MHC.”

Mr. Dunn is the Southern Arizona Director with the Arizona Builders Alliance, a commercial construction trade association. Mr. Dunn also serves on the Pima County Bond Advisory Committee, OPCMI Pension Trust and the Catalina Council’s Good Scout Luncheon Committee. Tom and his family have called Marana home since 2006.

$8,000 Grant from Trico

The 2015 Trico POWER Grants program has awarded MHC Healthcare $8,000! This will fund immunizations, flu shots, dental screenings, physicals, and sports physicals for children. MHC's outreach workers will also be able to conduct insurance eligibility screenings for our services including insurance or sliding fee scale eligibility, referrals to the nearest MHC health center, and will provide each family with educational resources. 

Our goal is to ensure that our community members have access to quality health care and that they participate in their health care decisions to improve their quality of life. This grant will enable us to reduce barriers to basic preventative care for children and to ensure that all youth and their families have a primary medical home that meets their health and financial needs.
