The 2015 Trico POWER Grants program has awarded MHC Healthcare $8,000! This will fund immunizations, flu shots, dental screenings, physicals, and sports physicals for children. MHC's outreach workers will also be able to conduct insurance eligibility screenings for our services including insurance or sliding fee scale eligibility, referrals to the nearest MHC health center, and will provide each family with educational resources.
Our goal is to ensure that our community members have access to quality health care and that they participate in their health care decisions to improve their quality of life. This grant will enable us to reduce barriers to basic preventative care for children and to ensure that all youth and their families have a primary medical home that meets their health and financial needs.
